FoodNashi Tart


  • 4 Nashi
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup plus 1 1/1 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 1/8 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon


Preheat oven to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine cream cheese and butter, add flour, ¼ cup sugar and salt: process in mixer until mixed well. Pat the dough onto the baking sheet into a flat 8-inch circle. Combine ¼ cup sugar, lemon juice and brandy. Core and slice Nashi and coat Nashi well with lemon juice mixture. Arrange pears on dough. Sprinkle with remaining sugar and cinnamon. Bake 25-30 minutes until golden. Serves 4.
